Full Frame School of Doc
Durham 150 Grantee
School of Doc is a completely free program (including meals) serving primarily Durham public high school students who participate in a five-week intensive summer course taught by professional documentary filmmakers.
Each School of Doc session includes no more than 12-15 students, who learn how filmmaking skills translate to job skills, and visit job sites where these tools are applied.
The School of Doc students share their work at the end of their program in a free, open-to-the-public screening in the Full Frame Theater, and again the following April at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival.
The event is July 23 from 6-8 p.m. Come early because the venue only sits 99 and we usually have standing room only by start time!
