Freedom thru ENTREPRENEURSHIP: Juneteenth 2019
Durham 150 Grantee
Juneteenth is not only a celebration of the abolition of slavery, but one year to-the-day since we launched Jeddah’s tea right here in Durham, NC.
We will have a sampling event for the public, which will include a custom Durham 150 blend, as well as a panel discussion featuring local black ENTREPRENEURS telling their stories about their finding freedom through ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
We will be discussing Jeddah’s Tea and how we came to be, what our goals are, and how the city of Durham has encouraged our ENTREPRENEURIAL endeavor. Durham rallies around its folks; we want to honor our past, but also celebrate our present and future.
We aim to not only be a new community watering hole, but a place wherein people can be authentically themselves & be celebrated for it.
