African American Heritage Night

The Durham Bulls are proud to host an African American Heritage Night on Saturday, April 20th, as we take on the Gwinnett Stripers at 6:35 P.M.

The Bulls are celebrating and honoring Durham African American heritage. We will host a tribute to the rich history of the Negro Leagues and its profound impact on the game as we know it today. We will be recognizing local Negro League players, the Hayti community and the Bimbe’ Cultural Arts festival. We are excited to have North Carolina Central University, as their band performs the National Anthem.

As part of our annual celebration, players will wear throwback uniforms with the number 42, a jersey number that has been retired from the league since 1997, in honor of Jackie Robinson.

Tickets to the African American Heritage Night are still available at or by calling 919-956-Bull.
